I’m Wataru Ito, a frontend engineer and parent based in the United States.

Wataru’s Web Lab is where I build useful browser tools, try playful web experiments, and document the frontend decisions, mistakes, and lessons behind them.

Things I’d Rather Not Forget is the name of the articles section. It includes build notes and practical lessons from day-to-day coding, along with occasional notes about raising a bilingual family and traveling in Japan.

Everything here begins with something I made, tested, debugged, or experienced myself. I use AI as a development and editing assistant, but the subject matter, examples, judgments, and final responsibility are mine.
